A traditional summer pastime in Vermont involves packing a lunch, some drinks, deciding if it will be in a kayak or tube, and float down the Battenkill River. The Green Mountain water is cold but refreshing especially on a hot summer day.
There are plenty of local inns to stay at as well to make it a weekend get away. There is the Norman Rockwell Inn at the Red Covered bridge in West Arlington as well as the West Mountain Inn just outside of the town of Arlington. Take a drive to Manchester and they are loaded with shopping outlets to bring some savings home with you.
The kayaks are all singles and we have both the sit in or sit on top kayak. As for the tubes we offer the old school tires or the new newer orange with handles and cup holders. We also offer floating coolers but supplies are limited so please ask if any are available for your reservation. New to our equipment are the rafts that can hold a parent and smaller child or a furry family member as well.
So call Big Big on the Battenkill kayak and tubing to get your summer going!
